The Selection Process
Offering a successful candidate a place in PMD takes serious consideration – we expect it to be a long-term commitment and investment for both us and the Management Associates (MAs). This is why we screen and select our MAs very scrupulously.
The selection process comprises four stages and is a two-way process. It is an opportunity for us to learn about the candidate’s fit in our Group and potential. Equally it is an opportunity for them to assess whether this is where they want to develop their long-term career.
· Stage 1 – Online Case Study (15 – 24 November 2017)
You will complete an online case study on our Online Application System.
The online case study is scheduled for 18 November 2017 evening (Hong Kong time). Candidates across the globe will need to complete the case online at this time.
An announcement will be posted on the Online Application System to notify whether the candidate has been shortlisted for this stage on or before 14 November 2017.
- Stage 2 – Online Psychometric Assessment (29 November – 1 December 2017)
You will complete an online test in verbal and numerical reasoning.
An announcement will be posted on the Online Application System to notify whether they have been shortlisted for this stage on or before 28 November 2017.
- Stage 3 – Interviews with Management Teams (20 December 2017 – 10 January 2018)
Shortlisted candidates will attend one-on-one interviews with one of our senior executives. The interviews will be conducted in our designated offices or via video conference in case they cannot attend in person. They will deliver a business presentation to the business leader at the interview.
The candidate will also have an informal meeting with the PMD management team in person or via video conference for us to get to know them better, and answer any questions they may have.
In addition, they will submit their academic certificates and employment confirmation from previous employers and past salary data.
An announcement will be posted on the Online Application System to notify whether they have been shortlisted for this stage on or before 5 December 2017.
- Stage 4 – Assessment Centre & Panel Interview (15 January – 9 February 2018)
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to Hong Kong, our headquarters, to attend an Assessment Centre comprising individual, paired and group activities, and a Panel Interview with our senior executive team.
They will also complete an online personality test prior to the Assessment Centre and Panel Interview.
An announcement will be posted on the Online Application System to notify whether they have been shortlisted for this stage on or before 12 January 2018.
Offers will be made in March 2018.
The application period is closing soon. Grateful if you could remind your students to apply in case they have not yet, or submit their applications if they are finalizing. We would only proceed with applications when all materials are submitted onto our Online Application System.
Due to privacy issue and lack of consent from the candidates to disclose such information, I am afraid that we will not be able to provide a list of students from your business schools who have applied for the program and have been shortlisted at each stage of the selection process. However, we are happy to share the number of your students who have applied and have been shortlisted for the final round (Stage 4 – Assessment Centre and Panel Interview) and made offers to (and again, my apologies for not being able to disclose names) after the selection process is completed.
