Rayliant Global Advisors is a leader in quantitative equity investing in Asia. We offer global equity strategies within Asia, as well as Greater China equity strategies to the global institutional marketplace. Rayliant is now going through significant growth creating the demand to appoint Quant Researcher(s) to join our Asia team. Reporting to Managing Director of Investment Research, the researcher(s) will be responsible to support research, portfolio management and analytics for Greater China market.
►Job Description:Quant Researcher
1) Review academic and practitioner research related to equity/commodity/multi-asset factors, as well as replicating key results
2) Collect, clean, analyze and maintain large datasets for data analysis and backtesting
3) Develop, backtest and optimize trading strategies in equity/commodities/multi-asset areas
4) Assist PM in building automated tools to monitor risks and performance on both market and portfolio level
5) Ad-hoc tasks given by PMs and client facing team
►To be successful you should possess these attributes:
1) Degree qualifications in Finance, Economics, or Financial Engineering Discipline
2) 1 - 3 years of experience in Quant Research in Greater China market
3) Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, fluent in Mandarin and English
4) Experience in handling pressure, prioritization and time management skills, and meeting time sensitive deadlines
5) Work well in a team, dependable, able to deliver results and think strategically
6) Strong intuition in financial markets, experience with multiple liquid asset classes (equity, fixed income, commodities, FX and options on each of these) is a plus
7) Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
8) Strong programming skills in languages such as R, Python, C++, Matlab, VBA, and SQL, etc.
9) Experience in Datastream, Bloomberg, Wind, CSMAR, IBES database is a plus
10) Highly motivated fresh graduates are also welcomed
