Job Description

 

Title: Client Group Intern

Department Description

The Client Group department is pivotal in cultivating client relationships and distributing investment products through diverse channels, including both Institutional and Intermediary. Acting as a bridge between our products and clients, it facilitates communication and ensures that offerings align with client needs and market demands. Exceptional client support is at the core of this department's activities, making it essential for driving business growth.

 

Purpose of your role

As part of the Client Group internship program, this role focuses on providing active assistance in Client Group Support while gaining valuable exposure to the broader functions. The Support responsibilities extend across several service areas, such as client onboarding, product onboarding, agreement review, account opening KYC, operational troubleshooting (transfer agency), Salesforce management, ongoing AML due diligence, trailer payment verification, and handling investor inquiries. The intern will also benefit from learning opportunities in the Intermediary and Institutional business to enhance their experience and skill set.

In this Role, You Will:

  • Support Client Due Diligence: Assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards by actively contributing to client due diligence processes.
  • Support Business Requests: Provide timely and insightful support for ad-hoc product requests and related tasks.
  • Engage in Strategic Projects: Participate in the Intermediary and Institutional project study, gaining valuable exposure to real-world challenges and innovative solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

    • Provide translated summary for various fund updates and reports
    • Provide and update financial industry analysis, including insurance asset allocation analysis, insurance product analysis, FoF analysis, and various ad-hoc projects.
    • KYC Database maintenance
    • Prepare Daily Screening Review report and resolve screening alerts
    • Follow-up investigations on WorldCheck hits, FSC penalty announcement, negative news
    • Conduct Individual Screening and finalize Review report (ASL, MOEA changes etc)
    • Ongoing AML/KYC Solution support
    • To assist with ongoing FI sanction log, Financial Crime Mgmt Info
    • To assist with regular AML requests from distributors (UBO & Senior Mgmt declaration, Internal Control Declaration)
    • To assist with new AC opening KYC documentation
    • To assist with ad-hoc requests from the Client Group and the regulator (inspection, survey, etc.)
    • To assist with mandates related requests (Monthly Report Delivery, periodical review on portfolio list, investment book update etc.)
    • To assist with product on-shelf requests (both Intermediary & Institutional)
    • To provide administrative support (document filing & scanning, expenses reports etc..)

 

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Major in Economics or Finance related studies.
  • Excellent skills in English and Chinese.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, PowerPoint & Excel.
  • Work with passion and willingness to handle multi-tasks under time pressure.
  • Be comfortable with a large volume of repetitive tasks.
  • Good work ethic and good working attitude
  • Organization and prioritization skills
  • Detail oriented and able to manage time efficiently.
  • SITCA license preferred
